Conclusion
Using the steps covered in
Part 1, backing
up Exchange, and the steps in this second part,
restoring
Exchange, an organization should have the steps required to recover their
Exchange data with minimum user impact. I would suggest setting up a lab and
going though these steps to make sure they are fully understood and you know
what to expect. In addition, carrying out the restoration steps without merging
the data should be done in your production environment on a regular basis to
make sure your backups are valid. A large percentage of administrators find out
too late that their backups are not valid and have not been for awhile. Thus,
it is essential to verify your backups and that you thoroughly document your
restoration procedures.
