Creating Objects in the Target Domain

A.     Refresh the MA for Source Domain

1.      Click the Management Agents button in Identity Manager

2.      Select the Source Domain MA and click Run under Actions to the right

3.      Select ?Refresh Metaverse? under Run profiles and click OK

4.      Click Yes on the warning below

5.      Wait for the ?State? to go to Idle

B.     Export objects from the metaverse to the target domain

1.      Review objects currently in the target OU in the target domain

a.       Open the target OU in ADU&C and make a note of its contents

?        In my environment, I had the following:

2.      Select the Target Domain MA and click Run under Actions to the right

3.      Select ?Export to AD? under Run profiles and click OK

4.      Click Yes on the warning below

5.      Wait for the ?State? to go to Idle

6.      Click Adds under Export Statistics

?        In my environment, I had three objects projected in the metaverse that did not exist in the target domain, and two that I had manually created, TEST123 & TEST456.? The numbers you see for Adds, Updates, and Renames will vary based on the number of objects in the source domain OU selected in the Source Domain MA, and those that have already been manually created in part 2 of this article series.? I had manually created two objects, which had CNs of TEST123 & TEST456.? These were then renamed, by the rules extension, to have the same CN as the source object they are linked to in the source domain.

7.      Review objects currently in the target OU in the target domain

a.       Open the target OU in ADU&C and make a note of its contents
