    Backing up Exchange

  • If you insist on running a scheduled offline backup, put
    NET STOP MSEXCHANGESA /Y
    NET STOP MSEXCHANGESA /Y
    NET STOP MSEXCHANGESA /Y

    at the beginning of your script to make sure the services are turned off. Yes, that's three times.
